Currently there are areas in the western US having their worst fire seasons in history. If you look at a map of all the fires, it literally just looks like the entire western half of our country is aflame. It's devestating what is happening to our forests as well as to those who have homes affected. Although it's tragic what is happening, I still could not resist the drive up American Form Canyon tonight to capture the last of the day. The sun doesn't come through the smoke much these days, but getting up out of the valley, high enough, we were able to see this bit of red sun just light up the sky.
