Standing After the Storm

Yesterday we had a storm that just never seemed to end. More and more snow continued to fall, and the winds howled. This morning, the storm had passed, and we were left with some intense mornin glight and freshly coated mountain snow.

Where The Stairs Take You

I absolutely love the stairs around the waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge! I feel like they transport you to another time. This particular set of stairs are from Horsetail Falls along the Historic Columbia River Gorge in Oregon.

On Winter's Edge

Life gets moving so fast that often we forget to stop and enjhoy what is around us. ON this very day I was grateful to drive from the valley up to the mountain tops. All in one day I expereienced sunshine, fog, clouds, snow, clear skies, fall and autumn leaves, and at the very top, a fresh coating of winter snow. The mountains of northern Utah truly are a magical place. Taken at the top of Guardsman Pass on a brief break from a flurry of winter snow storms.

An old barn, rusty nails, a weathered work bench... this is one of my favorite all time black and white photos. For some reason, it speaks to me. Perhaps it was the old ranch it was shot at, perhaps its the texture... either way, a black and white piece of art. This looks great printed with a metallic finish. :)
